There Will Be a Day

There Will Be a Day....

July 23, 2009 at 11:30 pm
I try to hold on to this world with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings, and the hurt that tries to grab
The many trials that seem to never end, His word declares this truth,
that we will enter in this rest with wonders anew

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we’ll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long
You feel your walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you’ve walked out all alone

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart
Cause joy and peace he brings
And the beauty that’s in store
Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting

I can’t wait until that day where the very one I’ve lived for always will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced
To touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery this is why this is why I sing….

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day, He’ll wipe away the stains, He’ll wipe away the tears, He’ll wipe away the tears…..there will be a day.

My new glasses

Here is me and my little red-haired twin. My girls didn't even notice my new glasses that day. It was a short visit, though, and unexpected. I guess they really aren't a LOT different from my old ones, but they are smaller. I'm still getting used to them. (The glasses, not my girls!)

I attempted to color my hair purple. It was pretty successful...on the roots/grey hair anyway. I might try it again sometime, maybe a different color. But that isn't the point of this quick post; my new glasses are. I did get them at Costco. Inexpensive and good quality. I had actually picked out a different frame, and was waiting my turn when I started looking at the frames in the glass case/counter. As soon as I tried these on, we all (me, Mark, and the lady assisting me) knew THIS was the pair for me. This is the first time in my life that my eyes haven't had the same prescription. That took a little getting used to. But the last two times I've got new prescriptions, they have actually improved! Now that I'm in my 40s, I don't know how long that trend will last, but I'm happy for it anyway! Could be that I take them off whenever I don't really need them, like for reading or sitting at the computer.
